American Classic

Located on a 4-acre waterfront parcel that was once a part of the larger estate of coal baron William C. Atwater (see our “Reviving an Iconic Henry Bacon House from 1903” under Renovations), this new classic American home was designed to provide a relaxed yet elegant retreat that would stand the test of time and suit the needs of a large and active family.

A deliberate balance of open floor plan and discrete spaces, classic details, and durable yet elegant materials are combined to create a welcoming, timeless feeling. Multiple screen porches allow for outdoor living conditions against the backdrop of the bay. The grounds consist of a waterside pool as well as a circa 1902 boathouse from the original estate that has been restored and repurposed into a large but cozy pool house.
