These small buildings and follies take their cue from the Italian Renaissance villa tradition of placing pavilions in the garden as a visual design focus and a destination for relaxation. Some are designed for a specific use – the garden shed, orangery or small guest house – while others are simply created to open the beauty of the landscape and garden to the visitor.
