The Bauhaus Farmhouse embodies APDA’s signature “Agrarian Modern” design style. Both inventive and contextually cohesive, duality is rooted in the home’s DNA. Inspired by the owners’ desire to feel both indoors and outdoors at the same time, the structure features expansive sheets of glass, nestled in charcoal colored aluminum, that seemingly billow into the surrounding landscape and flood the home with light from every direction. The traditional gables root the home in its New England setting, though the home is far from traditional in nature. Described as feeling both familiar and fresh, the home appears as though it sprouted there naturally, despite the intentionality and thoughtful planning that brought it to life.
