1920s Tudor Revival Restored

Built during the 1920s in the Tudor Revival style, this Greenwich residence had devolved into a French-style house with major structural problems, and the 5.5-acre property and outbuildings were in serious disrepair. Pictures of the original structure spurred our clients to embark on a complete renovation that included additions for family living: a new kitchen, family room, pool room, mudroom and extra bedrooms. Now all interiors mirror the original design but with carefully introduced custom elements, such as stained glass that depicts the property’s magnolia in changing guise over the seasons; a crafted butternut butler’s pantry connecting the dining room to the new kitchen; and an oak-paneled library designed to highlight our client’s art collection. Resplendent in their newly designed site, a new pool house, surrounding pergola, and walled garden join the rejuvenated 12,215 square-foot house to create an elegant Tudor Revival estate.
